For over 50 years, playwright David Wood has been delighting and amazing children across the world with his adaptations of some of the best loved children’s stories ever written. From The Tiger Who Came to Tea, to Tom’s Midnight Garden, and countless Roald Dahl stories, his plays are now performed worldwide to critical acclaim. It is therefore perhaps unsurprising that Wood’s work has been recognized at the highest level; he was awarded the OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours and he has been described by the Times as ‘the national children’s dramatist’.
