Exhibitions, activities and projects
We run a varied programme of events, designed to involve visitors of all ages. Our activities are interactive and multi-sensory and designed to encourage parents, carers and children to spend time together, enjoying stories in many different ways. See what’s on.
Education and training
Our teacher and classroom programmes are rooted in the schools’ curriculum and the needs of teachers. We run story-related events at the Museum, outreach activities and professional development for teachers. Find out more.
Our free online resource, 1001 stories, brings stories from around the world into your own home. Listen and enjoy.
We work with a wide range of people, from children and families to academics and education professionals to capture story favourites and those with enduring worldwide appeal. These will form the core of our story resources.
We’re working with architects, designers, planners, educationalists and visitors to create a world centre of story. This involves a great deal of time, money and fairy dust. We have completed Chapter One which enabled us to open to the public in April 2014 and we are now raising funds for Chapter Two. Read about our plans.
