“Why didn’t the Story Museum come into being earlier? Well, we had our resources, but none so fine and creative as this promises to be.”
Richard Adams, author of Watership Down
Since 2005 the Story Museum has been operating as a ‘virtual’ museum, taking lively storytelling performances, hands on exhibitions and creative activities to schools and family venues and offering training and resources for teachers and parents. We work closely with teachers, educators, arts organisations and children to test and develop what we do. So far we have worked with over 25,000 children and their adults.
We plan to launch an international capital fundraising campaign in winter 2008 and in 2012 to open a magical place where generations of children can explore and enjoy stories, and their adults remember how much they matter.
