Description:
Seven Stories, the Centre for Children's Books, champions children's books as an integral part of our childhood and national heritage and culture. It aims to preserve and celebrate Britain's rich heritage of children's literature from the 1930s to the present day; and to inspire a lively dialogue that brings books and their creators to life and promotes a love of reading across generations. As part of this mission it is developing a nationally significant collection of the pre and post publication artwork, manuscripts and archives of Britain’s highly acclaimed writers and illustrators for children. It uses this collection as a unique resource to create exhibitions, events and learning programmes. Museum entry charges apply.
