Description:
A large, internationally-acclaimed ten-day annual festival held in Hay-on-Wye and running for ten days in May and June. A children's festival, Hay Fever, runs alongside the main festival during half-term week. A new schools programme is launched in 2010. Hay has also expanded overseas and sister festivals take place internationally.
The Hay Festival is sponsored by The Guardian newspaper.
