An open organisation, the Society for Storytelling welcomes anyone with an interest in oral storytelling, from listeners to tellers, beginners to professionals. Subgroups cater for specialist interests such as storytelling in education or therapy. It holds an annual conference, The Gathering, and coordinates National Storytelling Week.
