A scheme designed to help Key Stage 3 pupils whose reading skills are about two years below expectations, Reading Challenge is part of the government’s Learning Challenge, a ‘toolkit’ provided to schools under the Key Stage 3 Strategy to help provide catch-up intervention for pupils performing below expectations for their age.
