Print your own Christmas cards at The Story Museum, Oxford
Hand-printing short course: Christmas cards. Thursday 27 November, 18.00 & one other date.
It’s the perfect way to share the season’s greetings: visitors can design and create their own completely unique Christmas card at The Story Museum this November.
On a two-day course, participants will learn the art of hand-printing on the Bodleian’s antique printing presses, machinery dating back 200 years. The course will be led by Dr Paul Nash, the Bodleian’s printing expert. Those who take part will learn about the history, machinery and methods of hand-printing, before making their own card using lino-cuts and typesetting.
The course is £80 for two 3-hour sessions, and up to 50 cards. The first session will take place on Thursday 27 November, and participants will book the second workshop at their leisure. To book, ring 01865 790050 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 21 November.
