Print your own Christmas cards at The Story Museum. 1 October 2013.

Tuesday 1st October

Looking for a different way to share your season’s greetings this year? Take a break from Christmas shopping this November: The Story Museum is offering crafty folk the chance to design and create their own Christmas cards using the Bodleian’s antique printing presses.

During the first workshop, which takes place on Wednesday 27 November, participants will design and prepare their lino-cut. After that they will book a one-to-one session with one of the master printers to set their message in type and print their cards using technology dating back to the 1600s.

Participants will come away with up to 50 of their own completely unique Christmas cards.

Sessions are run by our two resident ink-stained professionals:  the Bodleian’s printing expert Dr Paul Nash, and Michael Daniell. Tickets are now on sale, and those interested should book early as placed are limited.
