The Story Museum works with teachers to harness the power of stories to inspire and support children’s learning.

We work with schools in a variety of ways and look forward to welcoming groups into the Museum. For the latest news on education workshops, activities and events, sign up to our teachers’ mailing list.

Workshops for schools: inspired by exhibitions and events at the Museum.

We run in-school sessions for schools across Oxfordshire and beyond.

Performances and author workshops: writing groups, performance theatre and post-show sessions, creative wordplay with famous writers and illustrators.

Resources: listen free to 1001 Stories, our collection of audio stories from around the world, told by professional storytellers.

Special projects: every year we run a number of targeted projects, from creative writing to heritage learning and oral storytelling.
