The Minotaur storyday begins with a one hour performance of music, song and story, followed by a fifty-piece interactive exhibition which retells the story using image, sound, music, handling objects, scent and text. The story follows the life of Minos, the cursed Cretan King, from the abduction of his mother, Europa, by Zeus, through the birth and death of his minotaur son, the flight and death of Icarus, and finally his own death.

There are also copies of sculpture and coinage from ancient Greece, objects to touch and explore, games, puzzles and other interactive exhibits. Photo of children role playing
