About the event

An evening dedicated to the Greek island of Crete starting with bewitching folk tales and ending with a powerful, true story about the experience of being a child messenger during the Cretan resistance against the Nazi forces 1941-1945.

The show includes music, song and sweets! With award winning performance storyteller Anna Conomos, and the internationally acclaimed musicians Rebecca Vucetic and Kostas Kopanaris.Stories consist of: The Daughter of the Pomegranate Tree: A traditional Cretan Folk Tale with a bewitching twist! – The Ring:  A powerful Story of Survival bringing to life personal and untold narratives of survivors who, as children, experienced the Battle of Crete and were active in the resistance against the Nazi forces between 1941-1945.
