We’re howling with excitement this half term as we get ready for a packed programme of spooky events and workshops!

Saturday 22 October

Ready Steady GO!
11:00-12:00, 13:00-14:00, 15:00-16:00
Come in to our driving school. Grab your tool kit, choose your car, colour, and drive! Ready Steady GO! is an immersive theatre piece for children and their families which allows the audience to create, decorate and drive cardboard cars. Ages 3-9, £8/£6.

Monday 24 October

Wolves and the Wild
Bestselling and award-winning children’s author Katherine Rundell and award-winning local author and ecologist Tom Moorhouse take you into the worlds of their latest books, £7.50/5. Ages 7+.

Tuesday 25 October

Marvellous Mixtures
11:00-12:00 & 14:00-15:00
In this fun family workshop from Science Oxford, children can create bubbling potions, investigate an intriguing fluid and make their own super-stretchy slime to take home. £7/5. Ages 5-8.

Wednesday 26 October

The Curious Laboratory of Song
11:00-12:00 & 14:00-15:00
Make a musical rainstorm, race time itself and coax the jolliest of boatmen back to shore in this interactive storytelling concert, with music by Schubert, Poulenc, Wolf (he doesn’t bite!) and Copeland. Free with museum entry. Ages 3+.

Thursday 27 October

From Black Cats To Black Holes – from Varjak Paw to Phoenix and beyond
SF Said’s books are full of magic, mystery and mythology.  From the black cats of VARJAK PAW to the black holes of PHOENIX, he loves to write about the strange and supernatural.  He’ll be talking about all his books in this special Halloween event. Ages 8+, £7/£5.

Storytime with the Spooky Zoomers
Come along for a session of story time and live drawing with Ana and Thiago de Moraes, the team who created The Zoomers’ Handbook, and get the chance to create your very own spooky Zoomer creature. £7/£5. Ages 3+.

George’s Marvellous Medicine for Grown Ups!
The Story Museum and Science Oxford have teamed up to bring you a night of potent potions and marvellous medicines to get you in the mood for Halloween. Ages 18+, £12.50.

Mirrorworld with Cornelia Funke
Mirrorworld with Cornelia Funke Meet author Cornelia Funke and hear about the latest instalment in her Mirrorworld series, as Jacob Reckless once again enters the dangerous world on the other side of the mirror. Ages 12+, £7/£5.

Sunday 30 October

David Gibb – Letters Through Your Door
‘Letters Through Your Door’ is a fun and exciting live music show packed full of catchy and toe tapping numbers from award winning songwriter David Gibb. Ages 3-11, £7/£5.
