About the event

‘The Canon, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. The – Ca – non: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. The. Ca. Non.’

Following successful runs in Cambridge, Edinburgh and London, The Canon returns in its second edition – bigger, bookier, and bwittier. An irrepressible sketch show featuring an all-star cast of literary favourites, from Shakespeare to E.L. James. It’s like SparkNotes, only funny. Catch this frolic of a show in Oxford before it makes its merry way to the Edinburgh Fringe.

Vibrant and thoroughly entertaining… like the physical, theatrical embodiment of a novel you just can’t bear to put down.’ **** A Younger Theatre

one of the cleverest and most erudite revues since at least the days of Fry and Laurie … The Canon is very intelligent and very funny’  ***** Theatre Guide London

absurdity, surprise, conviction and wit. They are everywhere in evidence in The Canon.‘  **** Broadway Baby

No Mean Feet aims to create a tone that is playful and inclusive. The company went on hiatus in 2016 while it’s members honed their skills and pursued their own projects – from TV production to stand-up to social work to children’s theatre to further academia. We are now very excited to band together once more to present audiences with something silly and witty and heartening for an increasingly dark-looking 2017. ‘A crew with a future’ (The List).

Suitable for ages 16 +
