Along with all venues and many businesses, the Story Museum Galleries, shop and cafe temporarily closed to the public in March in response to the Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic.
Following recent Government guidance on the reopening of Museums and Galleries, we are exploring ways in which we can reopen some of our spaces over the summer holidays and provide enjoyable, safe experiences for our young and family visitors. These will be aimed primarily at families local to Oxford and will be limited to small numbers of pre-booked visitors, admitted for timed sessions.
We are also developing a learning and wellbeing programme for children and young people to be delivered on site, on-line and through partner schools.
The safety of visitors and staff will remain our priority so please bear with us whilst we take the necessary time to plan.
While our building remains closed, we are still active on our social media channels so please follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to find out what's going on behind the scenes.
Many thanks and we look forward to welcoming you as soon as we safely can.

“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
