Join King Arthur's Knight School and learn the secrets of what makes a great knight in a fun interactive family workshop

This half term, experience history first hand, step back in time and meet John de Vere, the 7th Earl of Oxford (b.1312) and discover what life was like as a Knight at the medieval Royal Courts in this incredible immersive workshop!

  • Arthur: Man or Myth? Hear about one of history's most famous Kings
  • Handle weapons and armour from the 5/6 CE period, and explore the age of the Bretwalder
  • Take a closer look at the weapons and warfare of the Norman conquest of Oxenforda, (as Oxford was once known)
  • Discover more Oxford Castle, from the building of the Motte and Bailey to when Robert D’Oilly added a stone keep.
  • Have a go with a cross-bow, first introduced to England by the Normans
  • Step forward in a Knighting ceremony, and take your new title home with colours flying!

Suitable for ages 8+

Children must be accompanied and adults require their own tickets
