About the event

Join popular singer-songwriter, Nick Cope, as he sings the songs from his books Why is the sky blue?, I don’t wanna do that and The very silly dog.

Nick’s hilarious, uplifting, and poignant songs have garnered acclaim from audiences all around the world including comedians Stewart Lee and Lucy Porter. With his songs about head lice, dogs eating soap and inquisitive children, Nick’s concerts are a treat for adults and children of all ages.

Singer-songwriter Nick Cope’s work takes on a new form in this series of illustrated books based on his original songs with full lyrics and guitar chords at the back.

‘No I don’t wanna do that!’ is the story of young Joe, who just cannot be persuaded to do any of the activities his mum suggests, no matter how patient and
accommodating she may be!

The very silly dog doesn’t know a bone from a bar of soap. What will happen when he finds some soap…and eats it?

Why is the sky blue? is an entertaining and endearing take on the inquisitiveness of young children, featuring little Joe and his parents and all the weird and wonderful questions Joe has about the world.

Nick Cope is a musician who runs regular sessions in and around Oxfordshire for young children. He is a frequent performer at schools and theatres and many of the large
music festivals and events for families all over the country.
