About the event

Join Cas Lester for a very lively author event, a great deal of silliness, and maybe even some Bad, Bad, Fairy-cakes!

Find out about some ingenious inventions, take part in the Awesome Inventors quiz, learn how to make some things that fly, before blowing the dust off your imaginations to dream-up brilliantly bold contraptions of your own.  Suitable for 5-8 year olds. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

About Cas Lester

Cas spent many years having a fabulous time, and a great deal of fun, working in children’s television drama with CBBC. She developed and executive produced lots of programmes including JACKANORY, MUDDLE EARTH, THE MAGICIAN OF SAMARKAND, BIG KIDS and THE STORY OF TRACY BEAKER.

Now Cas writes books for children, helps out in a primary school library (where she is Patron of Reading) and looks after her family full-time. She has four children, a daft dog called Bramble and she lives in Oxfordshire. She would absolutely love to go into space. But not on the Toxic Spew. Follow Cas on Twitter: @TheCasInTheHat
