Enter the world of a team of robot soldiers designed to withstand extreme dangers.

Story

In the world of Judge Dredd, a team of robots work together to fight crime! Or fight whoever they’re being paid to fight. Able to handle extreme dangers of the Atomic, Bacterial and Chemical variety, they are the ABC Warriors. They are who you send in when you can’t send anyone else!

Why we chose it

Not only is it a long-lasting comic, it also speaks about the harm that fighting can have on the environment. Other political issues are discussed, such as being used by one’s employers.

Where it came from

The robots first appeared in 2000 AD’s Star Lord comic magazine in the strip ‘Ro-busters’ before starring in a comic of their own.

Where it went next

The ABC Warriors continue their adventures in space and the future in other comics and graphic novel collections.

Associated stories

Pat Mills also wrote for Sláine, Charley’s War, and Nemesis the Warlock.
