Story

The Large children are having breakfast, a very messy, very loud breakfast. Mrs Large tries to sneak off to the bathroom with her breakfast, to have five minutes peace. But Lester, Laura and Luke have other plans…

Why we chose it

A favourite family picture book. Adults and children alike will recognise the family dynamics and domestic mishaps.

Where it came from

Jill Murphy spent time with a friend and her children. One day the children were all in pyjamas when Jill arrived and her friend wanted a bath before she went out. She took up some breakfast and Jill sat on the floor of the bathroom so they could chat. All the children followed and eventually ended up in the bath.
