Home Educator Visits

We offer annual designated Home Educator Visit Days.

Come and enjoy exclusive use of The Story Museum for a special day dedicated to Home Educating families. Explore the galleries at your own pace and enjoy a range of storytelling and creative sessions.

The costs are:
School-aged children: £28
Sibling discount: £24

Sensory Storytelling Sessions

We provide 90 to 120-minute sensory story sessions for groups of disabled people. The sessions begin with a live oral storytelling using multisensory approaches. This is followed by a guided tour of the Museum and ends with a session in which the participants can explore the world of story through craft, role play, toys, props, dressing up and more oral storytelling. We can tailor this to a story (book, film, comic strip etc.) that your group particularly enjoys.

For the best experience, sessions should be booked for no more than 15 participants at a time. We welcome the opportunity to discuss the needs and requirements of your group at the time of booking.

Cost (all accompanying carers visit for free):

£12.40+VAT per head for groups of 6-10 participants, excluding accompanying carers
£11.80+VAT per head for groups of 11-15 participants, excluding accompanying carers

For groups of 16 participants or more, we ask that you divide your group to have separate sessions. These sessions may be run simultaneously or at different times depending on the availability of session leaders. The Learning Team will discuss the best options with you.
