Story Explorers 28-30 October 2025 programme:

Tuesday 28 October:
Today we will enter the cave of dragon lore in our exhibition Here Be Dragons. We'll explore the natural history of dragons—where they came from, how they lived, and what made them roar. You will then unleash your imagination and make your own dragon puppet with storyteller and puppeteer Oliver Bishop.

Wednesday 29 October:
Today we will meet the Dragons of the East, where these majestic beings are symbols of power, wisdom, and good fortune. Instead of fighting them, people honor them! Dragons are seen as protectors, bringers of rain, and even ancestors. You will take part in a fun and creative printmaking workshop with artist Viola Wang and learn how to create your very own dragon print to take home.

Thursday 30 October:
Come on a quest with Rolldark in an immersive game of Dungeons and Dragons - choose your character and embark on an imaginary adventure exploring castles dungeons, treasures and dragons.

We believe in making the arts accessible to all.
Bursaries are available to cover fees and travel costs for low-income families. To apply, please email us.
