Featuring music, puppet making, crafts and the theatre show: The Dragons Tale and much more.

Monday 12 August: Heroes & Songs, including a music workshop with David Gibb
Set out on a quest to Romania to explore the fairytale of Stan Bolovan and on to Poland for the story of the Wawel Dragon - with lots of role play along the way. Then compose a song inspired by stories of fearsome Dragons with the amazing musician David Gibb.

Tuesday 13 August: The Dragon Family Tree, including a puppet workshop with Theatrix Arts
Explore a family tree of dragons, tracing their origins across the world. From Indian myths, to ancient Egypt to the Nordic tales of Iceland, dragons are found in almost every culture. The afternoon includes a performance of A Dragons Tale, the legend of the Lambton Worm told through puppets, followed by a dragon puppet making workshop with Theatrix Arts.

Wednesday 14 August: The Sun Eating Dragon, including a creative workshop with Artburst
Journey to ancient Greece to discover serpents with 100 heads and winged dragons who drew the chariot of goddess Demeter. Did you know that back in ancient mythical Greece, seven dragonflies saved the world from a sun eating dragon? Participate in a creative workshop with Artburst to weave, twist and decorate a mobile suncatcher equipped with dancing dragonflies just in case any hungry dragons are lurking about!

Thursday 15 August: Eastern Dragons, creative workshop with Snowflake Books
Eastern dragons are friendly beings with boundless magical powers. With the wonderful Snowflake books, explore a famous Chinese story about a man who was so fond of dragons that all his belongings were decorated with dragons! Learn the Dragon Dance and design your own dragon, decorated with traditional phrases in classical Chinese.

Friday 16 August: Dragon Quest, multisensory activities
Go on a quest into world of fantasy to meet goblins, trolls, wizards and dragons. Take part in a host of multisensory activities including story sacks, puzzles and puppets in a search for gold!
