Three days of Story Explorer courses for February half term exploring the marvellous world of minibeasts. For ages 8-12.

Join our popular Story Explorers courses and make it a Half Term to remember.

Monday 12 February: Dragonflies and Dragons
Bring to life an amazing dragonfly myth through drama and costume as we celebrate the Year of the Dragon with the team Snowflake Books

Tuesday 13 February: Creating a Buzz
Delve into the busy life of bees through balloon games, team challenges, role play and dressing up. Find out how Anansi the Spider trapped an entire nest of hornets without getting stung and how Winnie-the-Pooh tried to catch bees with balloons!

Wednesday 14 February: Butterflies and Crickets
Craft your own insect costume to take home, inspired by our Brilli-ANT exhibition. Work with cardboard sculptor, Lottie Smith, and learn how to transform cardboard into a beautiful butterfly or quirky cricket

Make new friends and hone your story skills in a fun holiday workshop. Work with professional artists and creatives, with plenty of dressing-up, role play, craft, games and chat along the way! Just bring your imagination, a packed lunch and clothes that you don't mind getting messy in.

For ages 8-12.

Courses run from 10:00-16:00 each day. Add on wrap-around care at the check-out for an additional £16.00 per day to extend the day from 09:00-17:00. Book individual days or all three.

At The Story Museum we believe that finances should not impact a young person’s ability to access the arts. Therefore, we offer bursaries for the course price and related travel expenses for low-income families. To apply for a bursary place, please email us.
