Board our fantastical Story Craft and fly through a thousand years of Oxford’s story history, from ancient myths and legends to classics of children’s literature enjoyed across the world.

In order to maintain government guidance around social distancing, this summer we are offering family groups or bubbles their own exclusive screening of City of Stories. Online booking is limited to 4 tickets. If you are a larger family group or ‘bubble’ then please contact us at boxoffice@storymuseum.org.uk.

Board the Story Craft in the heart of a city that has inspired generations of students and scholars, writers and artists. Your flight will transport you to stories including Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, C S Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia, J R R Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings and Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials. Powered by your imagination, our Story Craft can soar above the famous skyline, along winding streets and lazy waterways, and travel back in time, down rabbit holes and through windows into other worlds.

This is the perfect introduction to Oxford’s literary history. Collect your boarding pass now.

Staying safe
The Story Craft will be for exclusive use of individual family groups or bubbles.

There will be seven flights a day and the Story Craft will be thoroughly cleaned between each flight.

The Story Craft has a complete exchange of fresh air every 6-10 minutes so will have been thoroughly ventilated between flights.

City of Stories is an audio-visual experience for ages 5 upwards. It lasts 30 minutes.

Latecomers will not be able to board once the Story Craft has departed, so please be sure to check the time on your boarding pass carefully before your visit to the museum.
