Les Enfants Terribles: A Gameshow for Awful Children
Marcel Lucont, the UK’s favourite French comedian, presents a wild family gameshow pitting kids against adults in a series of tasks to try and find Oxford's most awful child. Kids get to be pests, politicians and pétomanes - who will be crowned the most awful child? See what happens when international insouciance meets infantile exuberance! A big hit at Edinburgh Fringe and many other festivals, the multi-award-winning comic channels his acerbic humour and quickfire wit into a series of tasks for the younger generation, which is every bit as entertaining for adults as it is for children.

LEGO Master Builders Club
Calling all young engineers, architects and inventors! Build a story with LEGO! All you need to bring is your imagination and a desire to have fun. Master Builders Club will be providing 1000s of LEGO bricks that will transform the museum space into a LEGO fan's paradise. Sessions are designed as a creative adventure that incorporates a playful learning experience whilst nurturing young minds.

Skills Courses: Story Explorers
School’s out for half term – join the Story Explorers! Three days of holiday skills workshops for ages 8-12 inspired by our Here Be Dragons exhibition. Explore a world of myths and magical creatures with our day-long holiday workshops for ages 8-12. In expertly devised days designed with fun in mind, your children will be in safe hands in an inspiring and friendly environment, led by our experienced Learning team. Arrive in the morning with a drink and a packed lunch, wearing clothes you don’t mind getting messy - we’ll take care of the rest!

Dragon Puppetry Workshop
Join us for a creative craft adventure into the mythical world of dragons! In this hands-on, story-led workshop, young creators will explore the natural history of dragons—where they came from, how they lived, and what made them roar. Guided by puppet maker and storyteller Oliver Bishop from the League of Curiosity, participants will bring their very own dragon to life using paper, scrap materials, and found objects. Learn, make, and play in this magical blend of storytelling and creativity. Perfect for curious minds and crafty hands—come make a dragon of your own!

Join artist, illustrator, and author Viola Wang for a fun and creative printmaking workshop! Inspired by our magical exhibition, Here Be Dragons, you’ll enjoy a traditional dragon tale. The Let’s All Dance Ballet Company presents this captivating new ballet, adapted from the original Brothers Grimm fairy-tale.
With expressive music and staging, this vibrant retelling of the classic tale celebrates the timeless themes of courage, family bonds and the power of love. Combining charm, suspense and fantasy in a beautifully choreographed production, this award-winning company treats the whole family once again. There will be an opportunity to meet the cast after the show and take a photograph.
